Privacy policy
Draft. Not in effect. This is a placeholder written to describe how the site works today. It hasn't been reviewed by a lawyer, and the product sections will change before anyone outside the team uses Optic. The page is excluded from search engines until it's final.
Who we are
Optic GTM ("Optic", "we") runs optic.to and the Optic service. Contact: hello@optic.to. [Legal entity name and address to be added.]
This website
- No cookies, no tracking pixels, no ad networks. The site is static HTML and doesn't set cookies.
- Cloudflare Web Analytics. The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which adds its Web Analytics script to count page views and measure page-load speed. It doesn't set cookies. [Decide whether to keep it; link Cloudflare's privacy policy if so.]
- Hosting logs. Cloudflare may keep standard request logs (IP address, user agent, time) for security and reliability. [Add retention.]
- The early-access form opens your own email app. We receive what you choose to send and use it only to reply about early access.
The Optic service
[To be written before the first outside workspace. It should cover at least:]
- what Optic processes for a workspace: company and contact records, public signals, drafts, emails and events
- roles: the customer as controller of its prospect data, Optic as processor
- subprocessors (hosting, email sending, contact data, mailbox sync) and where data is stored
- retention, deletion of a workspace, and erasure requests for a single person
- how suppressions are kept after erasure so a person isn't emailed again
- security measures (see security)
